We firmly believe that technology itself is a tool to achieving results and not a solution in itself. That's why we never recommend options for our clients that don't match the results they need. Simply because something is the latest buzz doesn't mean it's the right fit for you.

Our Founder

Neil Swanson founded Swing State Media in 2004 after working on national and statewide campaigns, including overseeing online communication for national and statewide campaigns.

Swanson brings a unique background in journalism to his online work. He served as a managing editor and a columnist for National Journal's publications. While working for National Journal's political news briefing The Hotline, Swanson launched the company's first public online site, receiving a Webby Award nomination for his work. He also has worked as freelance writer and reporter for numerous publications.

Swanson has a Master's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor's degree in English and American history from the University of Missouri.

He is a husband, the father of four, and an active member of the community in his hometown of Kansas City.
